*GREEN ROOM EVENTS*
Some Ifield Barn members may not be aware of the fantastic work done by The Barn Green Room Committee. We have a varied and interesting programme but, unfortunately, our Friday night events are not supported by many people. We had a nostalgic and surprisingly interesting showing of an early film 'Ben Hur' with music and effects. You missed an entertaining evening! Our Murder Mystery evening was a success with the audience correctly identifying the dastardly villain, while enjoying a delicious meal. Again if you did not attend you missed a great evening!
Please support the Green Room. We have an unique theatre in a beautiful setting and we have lots of fun and talented folk who love a chat and a chuckle so do come along to the events. In fact the more the merrier, as they say!
Tuesday mornings at the Ifield Barn Theatre. The theatre is open between 10.00am and 1.00pm for coffee, maybe a bun, and in general to have a social morning. Please do come and support us, it is an opportunity for those not working to get together during a daytime.
PORTRAIT OF FEAR By EDWARD TAYLOR
Directed by Stewart Lock
Wednesday 13 May to Saturday 16 May 2009
A Victorian murder, a haunted room, home to unsettled spirits and the past echoing itself in today’s events all combine in a ghost story and a murder thriller to create a play that is chilling, exciting, intriguing and with many an unexpected twist... oh yes... and there's a portrait......!!
Do come along and support the cast in this chilling thriller.
Ifield Barn has got talent Cathy Chamberlin’s birthday celebration
There will be a members’ evening on 5th June as part of my 70th birthday celebrations. I shall lay on some food and members and friends will supply some entertainment (singing, reciting, and playing a musical instrument). However, there will be no judging panel to criticise your efforts - just applause.
This is not a private function and all current members are invited.
I'll
have to guess how much food to provide and hope I get it right. Look forward to
seeing you there - with or without your party piece. Cathy Chamberlin
