TOO BEE OR NOT TO BEE?

Is this a comedy or a tragedy?  It is both and often at the same time.

It is a wonderful honeycomb of ideas – about bereavement, black holes, mothers, fathers, gardening, ambitions, disappointments and bees”

Kate Kellaway- The Observer

Directed by John Miller

May Day Fayre Preparation

If you are a regular visitor to the May Day Fayre you will not have failed to notice that the area around the theatre and the church is transformed by tents and gazebos, bunting and stalls. This does not occur by magic and a willing band of volunteers work extremely hard to make it happen. As always many hands make light work so more people are needed.

We will be beginning our preparation on Friday 30 April and on Sunday 2 May. Please come along and help if you can.

If you can help by manning a stall, even for an hour, or need further information, please contact Carl on

 01293 533855

Natural Causes

March 10-March13 2010

A black comedy by Eric Chappell

Directed by Margaret Morris

Vincent is from Exodus, a euthanasia group that assists people in suicide. When he is invited to Walter Bryces’s country house to assist in the disposal of Walter’s wife he senses something is wrong. Why are the suicide notes unsigned? What is the role of Walter’s attractive secretary? Why has the Samaritan been sent for?

Come along and watch this tale unfold, performed by a talented cast.

Congratulations to John and Margaret Stone, who have become grandparents for the first time.  Their son Trevor and his wife Katherine presented them with a granddaughter called Aimee.

The bar at the Barn is staffed by volunteers and more people are needed to help with this

The bar is open Friday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes as well as on performance nights.

If you feel you would like to help behind the bar please contact Vicky Mills on 01293 536600

Full training will be given.

Tuesday mornings at the Ifield Barn Theatre.

The theatre is open between 10.00am and 1.00pm for coffee, maybe a bun, and in general to have a social morning.

Please do come and support us, it is an opportunity for those not working to get together during a daytime.
