Latecomers to performances will no longer be allowed into the auditorium until the end of a scene or an act, in order to lessen the disruption of the performance for other members of the audience.

                                                           

Wanted May Queen for 2010 Fayre. 


Qualifications: 

 

Be a maiden between 14 and 16 years old;


be able to make a short speech on opening of May Day Fayre;

be a member of St Margaret's Church or Barn Theatre, possibly having made a contribution to local life.

Please submit nominations by January 2010.  Please send to Chairman of Ifield May Fayre Committee, Carl Peirce (carlp79@gmail.com). 

A couple of lines explaining the reasons for nomination would be appreciated.

 

The May Fayre committee will make the final selection.

                        A BURN'S LUNCH

     This was a great success last year. It is a great way to celebrate Scotland's answer to William MacConagle while getting a fine culinary delight.

 Copious amounts of whisky will help the poetry go down.

This play will be our October production so come along and get a 'taster' of what's to come over a glass of red wine .... or something similar in colour....

Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones

A comedy about broken vows, failed hopes, and the joys of bee-keeping. 

Felix Humble is an astro-physicist who returns to his Middle-England home to find that since his father's sudden death all the precious bees and bee-hives have disappeared from the garden.  Why?

The Sunday Times said: "Sad, very sad; funny, very very funny, this is a seriously wonderful play".

Vincent is from Exodus, a euthanasia group that assists people in suicide. When he is invitd to Walter Bryces’s country house to assist in the disposal of Walter’s wife he senses something is wrong. Why are the suicide notes unsigned? What is the role of Walter’s attractive secretary? Why has the Samaritan been sent for?

 

Come along and watch this tale unfold, performed by a talented cast.

 

 

The GREEN ROOM COMMITTEE wishes you all a VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2010.  And while you are planning your New Year resolutions may I suggest that you add... I must attend a Green Room event this year.  Not only will it make the Green Room Committee feel wanted but who knows, you might actually enjoy it.
