Entries will be accepted on Sunday 4th from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. and on Monday 5th from 8.30 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. It would be appreciated if you could make the effort to bring your entries on Sunday - Ifield Barn Theatre is very busy on the morning of the Fayre and it helps us to display your exhibits to their best advantage.
As judging will commence sharp at 10.30 a.m. on May Fayre morning, we will NOT be able to accept entries after 10.00 a.m.
Presentation of the prizes will take place outside the main entrance of the Barn Theatre from 2.00 - 2.30 p.m.
Children's Classes
6 and under
Class 1 Make a model of a vehicle out of old boxes 30cmx30cmx30cm Class 2 Draw and colour a picture of you favourite thing on A4 Class 3 Decorate four Digestive Biscuits, two with happy faces and two with sad faces
9 and under
Class 4 Handwriting – copy and lay out the poem overleaf Class 5 Make a Vegetable Bug, not to exceed 30cm Class 6 Draw or paint a spaceship, not exceeding A4 Class 7 Decorate four biscuits with clown faces Class 8 Design a miniature seed tray garden, not to exceed 36cms
12 and under
Class 9 Design a miniature seed tray garden, not to exceed 36cms Class 10 Make a Vegetable Bug, not to exceed 30cms Class 11 Decorate a cake, not to exceed 20cms diameter Class 12 Handwriting – copy and lay out the poem overleaf Class 13 Design an invitation for your next birthday party, not exceeding A4
16 and under
Class 14 Draw or paint a still life in any style, Not to exceed A4 Class 15 Make your favourite pie. Class 16 Photograph of your favourite local landscape, mounted on a card with a caption. This must have been taken by you. Class 17 Write a description about the Ifield Mayfayre in the year 2500 on an A4 sheet .

v There will be small cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each of the Children's Classes. v The Family Cup will be awarded for the highest family score over all classes.
Competition Rules
1. Class 4 Poem: There was an Old Man with a Beard

2. Class 12 Poem: The Rain
The rain has silver sandals For dancing in the spring, And shoes with golden tassels For summer’s frolicking. Her winter boots have hobnails Of ice from heel to toe, Which now and then she changes For moccasins of snow. By May Justus
3. Class 29 - the photograph "favourite memory " must be mounted on card. The winner will receive the Ifield Village Association Photograph Trophy.
4. Children must be the age of their class or under on Monday, 5th May, 2008.
5. A Competition Entry Form must accompany all entries.
6. All entries must be your own work; the judges' decisions are final.
7. Unnamed entries will not be accepted. Please fix your name firmly to your exhibit where it cannot be seen by the judges.
